Rugs: dyes
When your eye is better trained you will be able to look at rug
dyes and be able to place them in an area, for example:
1. Sand yellows, deep indigo, aubergine, plum, mauve reds,
and blue-greens, the green being different from any other
used and the most obvious.
(a) Far-eastern dyes from China to the eastern part of Persia and the Meshed and Khorrasan districts.
Madder reds, brick reds, terracotta and pistachio greens.(a) Western central Persia up to the Caucasus.

The pinks tend towards mauve, slate blues, bright reds and
olive greens.
